New Jersey Solar Incentives
Currently if you live in the state of Jersey, there is a reasonable chance that you have some type of STD. The main reason being that most of the people who either grew up or are from Jersey spent a great deal of time in the summers down on the Jersey shore. And for those extra special people who ventured into Atlantic City for some fun nights, the chances are even better for you in having some form of an STD or another. I was lucky enough to spend some time there in New Jersey about 7 years ago, and I am happy to say that times were not nearly as bad as I hear they are right now on this topic. Maybe that was because Atlantic City, which is where I was based was not over run with desperate fake tanning 20 something year old dirty Italian girls who would literally start off the conversation with the lie that they did not have any common diseases, and this was just to get your attention!… now back to solar. In New Jersey, you have some good stuff happening these days. First off, the idoits in the government put together a somewhat half ass incentive program that comes out to just over $2/watt to the end customer. Here are the details for you to check out:
* Standard Residential (10 kW maximum): $1.55 per watt
* Residential w/energy audit (10 kW maximum): $1.75 per watt
* Non-residential (50 kW maximum): $1.00 per watt
Below are some example solar systems and their energy savings numbers for New Jersey:
In Newark, a 4kw solar system is expected to produce about 4732 kwh of electricity per year. If the average cost is about $.112/kwh, that equates to about $530/year in electric bill savings.
In Atlantic City, a 4kw solar system is expected to produce about 5001 kwh of electricity per year. If the average cost is about $.112/kwh, that equates to about $560/year in electric bill savings.
