In Miami, a 4kw solar system is expected to produce about 5357 kwh of electricity per year. If the average cost is about $.09/kwh, that equates to about $482/year in electric bill savings.

Currently, you need to get on a wait list to be eligible for the solar rebates.  The maximum amount each house is eligible for is $25,000 which is obviously substantial.  Your best bet would be to contact a local solar installer and find out what you can do to make sure you can have some of that incentive.
